For Ryoga
To the silent presence
The pride and gem of Gryffindor
The Legacy of monsieur Green
Your silent self condemnation
Did not go unseen
Though I took not the time to know you
Or speak for but the feast
At a single glance on my first day
I had known you were from the East
An Oriental treasure
One polished by the harshness of life and more
You stepped away from the light into the darkness
You shut that open door
I do not hold you at fault
For I sympathise with how you felt
This sympathy is not one of pity
But one that's sincere, heart felt
You have braved the seas to come here
And that way you will return
May you succeed in all you do
For you deserve every title you earn
- 'Ryuu' Riccardo Nefis
For Nellevie LaShae
To Mademoiselle LaShae
I know you as a prefect
A well reputed snake
Though others may not see this
You are like the lake
Calm and mirror smooth on the surface
Seemingly cold and dark below
But in truth what lies beneath the surface
Speaks of maturity and thought of the old
There is more to you than meets the eye
Known only to those you show
What's below your pureblooded beauty -
That you're worth your weight in gold
You have a kind side for those nor human
Aside from those of your kind
And they seem to be what you relate to most;
The first and last thoughts on your mind
Mademoiselle, you have much skill,
Much talent hidden away
I pray that you will become the best
And rise above in every way
- Ryuu Nefis
For Sergei Vasilijev
To my superior:
Your efforts may have gone unnoticed
Your intentions misunderstood
But know this my respected senior:
The legacy you've left is good
There were moments we may have objected
Times we saw not eye to eye
But eventually we began to see
The vision that you had in mind
Lementably it was only too late
To do as we should have before
Though time is not of the essence
There's still hope to open that door
You may not know me as well as I do you
Aside from that once incident in the wood
That time had been short lived and definately
Before I adapted to the mood
Your impression of me I do not know
Though I do hope it is not ill
May you excel in everything you do
And accomplish all you will.
- Ryuu Nefis
For Arieanna Meccoyannis
To my fellow faerie keeper:
Our encounters with each other
Have been short and brief
Moments I regret ending
In a petty tiff
My reckless behavior
And self centered thoughts
Did not allow
For a friendship of sorts
Aside from your name
Your age and your house
It pains me to admit
I know nothing else
Foreigness aside
I write what I can
Pardon my poor words
And my bad hand
I wish you good luck
On what life should bring
That you'll see the light in every tunnel;
The end of winter; spring
- Ryuu Nefis
