Growing Concerns

Seated dangerously on the ledge of her room's window, Adreanne's fingers skillfully tackled stubborn strips of cane, weaving the sharp edged shoots into a basket she would later to gather flora for the alter in the sanctuary.

Unrest stirred on the streets outside her claustrophobic hole. Nagging rumours had somehow inched their way through the thick stone walls of the church. Since the day she had entered the church, Adreanne had never dared to venture far from the main doors except to gather flowers or food for the kitchens by daylight. Even then she was weary. On those occations she would focus her eyes on the one destination she intended to be, finish her chore and then shrink back into the church as fast as her legs could carry her. Her only other connection with the outside world were the windows and balconies that gave the simply shaped complex some character. Those were the only times she paid careful attention to the detail in the streets that snaked round and away from the church.

Her fingertips had begun to throb, and deciding to take a rest, Adreanne dropped the unfinished craft onto the floor and stood up to stretch, hardly taking her eyes off the occational human figure slinking by on the sidewalk directly across from her. Long, slender legs ached for another walk around the church and maybe on to the rooftop later on as well. Gathering up her materials, the young woman dumped them carelessly onto a nearby chair and slipped out of the door as silently as a cat, soundlessly shutting the door behind her.

A quick stroll soon brought her pass the main bulletin board and the sound of loose paper flapping in the wind drew her attention to a freshly attached notice calling for a meeting by Neant. Commiting the announcement to memory Adreanne ventured into the place most likely to find the esteemed and weary leader; the library.

Just as expected, Brother Anton was found slightly hunched in the comfort of the couch at the end of the room, worry through time distinctly etched into his facial contuars that told her he had spent a lot of time in throught and prayer, very much like how Xian had looked like not too many nights ago.

Knocking politely on the door Adreanne made her arrival known.

"You called for a meeting Brother Anton?"
